The Law Offices of Ira Weiss has extensive experience in personnel matters and labor relations. We have represented numerous private sector clients in all phases of personnel issues including matters before the National Labor Relations Board as well as a range of regulatory issues including Wage and Hour Matters and grievance arbitrations. We regularly counsel clients on such matters creating strategies for dealing with workplace issues as they arise.

We have represented all levels of public sector employers in every aspect of labor relations including municipal governments, school districts of all sizes, including the School District of Pittsburgh, and county government as well. These matters include serving as chief negotiator in contracts involving teachers, support personnel, uniformed employees, road crews and prison guards. We have handled hundreds of labor arbitration matters including contract interpretation, discharge cases and have participated in binding arbitration under Act 111 as well as mediation under Act 195 and Act 88.

In the course of our combined years of practice, we have developed many employment contracts for management employees as well.
