Robert Max Junker has been an associate with The Law Offices of Ira Weiss since 2005. Max’s practice is concentrated in the areas of municipal law, land use and zoning, and education law. He provides daily advice to administrators and elected officials on all matters of local government operations, and attends meetings of municipal and school clients as board solicitor.

Career highlights include:

  • Representing clients before the Commonwealth Court, the Superior Court, the Court of Common Pleas, the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission, the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, and the State Charter School Appeal Board.
  • Routinely presenting at seminars for attorneys, administrators and school personnel on topics such as the new Right to Know Law, property tax assessments and student discipline.
  • Currently serving a three-year term as a member of the Board of Trustees for the Allegheny County Association of Municipal & School Solicitors Section.

Max received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Virginia and his Juris Doctor, Cum Laude, from Duquesne University School of Law. He served as Executive Recent Decisions Editor for the Duquesne Law Review, and was a published author. He was a member of several trial moot court teams, one of which reached the quarterfinals of the national ATLA Student Trial Advocacy Competition. Max was awarded the International Academy of Trial Lawyers Student Advocacy Award by the faculty, and elected to the Order of Barristers. He’s been a volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Pittsburgh since 2003.
