John G. Shorall recently joined The Law Offices of Ira Weiss “Of Counsel.” He has been a practicing lawyer for 34 years with 25 of those specializing in government litigation in the City of Pittsburgh Department of Law. The last 10 years of his practice with City government were spent as chief trial counsel. Mr. Shorall’s practice currently involves the defense of governmental entities in civil actions and representation of insurance carriers in coverage analysis and litigation.

Career highlights include:

• Handling major matters of litigation for the City of Pittsburgh and serving as lead counsel in various landmark litigation.
• Holding membership in the Academy of Trial Lawyers of Allegheny County in excess of two decades.

John is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and all federal courts therein. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Pittsburgh, a Juris Doctor from Duquesne University, and most recently, a Master’s in Public Policy and Management from the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public and International Affairs.
